Serono Laboratories, Inc., the world-leader in production of fertility drugs for women, invited only twelve doctors from the entire US to participate as consultants at an international meeting in Rome, Italy in September 1998. The symposium focused on new techniques for creating fertility medications, including recombinant follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) biotechnology (Gonal-f ™). Dr. Roseff was one of only a few Reproductive Endocrinologists from the NY/NJ/CT tri-state region who was asked to travel to Europe and assist Serono Labs in their discussions regarding the past, present and future of state-of-the-art infertility therapies for women throughout the world.
